they seriously need to retire the 1080 and bring out a new ski, or maybe a line of twintips. the 1080 has had a good run, but its getting so old. anybody agree?

its only 3 years old if i recall correctly. the name has been around for awhile, but the ski has changed. i think its cool that they usually leave the ski alone and leave the paint job alone for a couple seasons at a time so all the trend whores out there don't freak out and need to buy new shit every season.

yea they need to totally switch up. Performance wise, the 1080 is behind about 60% of all the other twins out there.

as well, philou's reason for bieng glad he's off salomon...'they are just so damn ugly'. all in all, they need to bring in a new fleet of twintips and let go of the 1080.

they are redesigning the whole freeride line including the teneighty for either next year or the year after, not sure which yet.

the whole freeride line meaning the 1080 AND the pocket rocket? wow!

see, companies like line, k2, armada, and volkl to an extent know where its at, 1 or 2 twins just doesnt cut it, and it helps to have a whole line. it shows that as a company, you support the movement more so than others. salomon is still kind of only staying on the safe side with only two twintips, while their freeride program has existed for 7 or 8 years.

he's talking about the spaceframe 10's being 3 years old, which they are, which is lame. it's all about line, with the sickkk all twintip lineup.
