I'm 15, 5 ft. 10 130 lbs. looking for a new pair of sticks for next season. I need something bombproof that can handle urban and park rails. I was looking at Surface Blanks, they are cheap af. But I've read that they break ridiculously easily. I also need new bindings, which I was looking into buying Look Pivots. But any recommendations for skis that are from smaller companies? (No companies like Salomon)
it's tough to find a cheap & bombproof ski, especially from a small company since they don't have the money backing them like bigger companies (ON3P, Surface, Coreupt). For what you're looking for I would look into k2's lineup, the stept guys beat the shit outta those skis (the domain, press etc.) and they're fairly priced. Best of luck!
$550 is not going to get you very up to date gear with the specifications you are looking for. go hit up some local shops and see what they got in the back room from previous years if you want a pair of bindings. Skis are tough as always since we have no idea how you ski in person (besides the style of skiing) and finding a pair of skis that you like while still being cheap is usually a worthy challenge of your time.
dont waste money on surface they break so fast, ive never seen any last for more that a season unless you barely ever ski and barely ever hit rails get some jskis maybe?
