So my skis got stolen this year while I was hitting urban.... Never heard of this happening to anyone else before so I thought I'd share the story.
We were hitting a spot behind a City Market. Apparently it was safety awareness week or something for the employees. For some reason that meant they were having a cookout? Not sure how that works but anyway they were really stoked on what we were doing. Instead of them kicking us out like we thought they would do, they invited us in to have free hot dogs. We were freakin STOKED! Free food at an urban spot from the people who own the property... Unheard of! The day was going great. We went inside grabbed some food and came right back outside to eat. Not trying to make a mess with all our snow covered gear inside. We were inside maybe 10 mins at the max. We come outside and eat our food then get ready to keep working on shots. I go to put my skis back on and realize they aren't anywhere to be found. We all looked for a good 30 mins. Couldn't find them anywhere. I ended up filming the rest of the crew for the next 2 hours. Searching in between shots. Never found them. Someone must have drove behind the store, hopped out and grabbed them in the 10 mins we were inside. There was literally nowhere else they could have gone.
Stupidest part: They were a seriously beat pair of skis. Had hit a feature with cheese grater stairs a few weeks before. The bases were shot. And the bindings were broken 2 different ways. Literally couldn't have sold them on Ns if I tried.
Even stupider part: My friends week old pair of ar7's with fks's were sitting right next to mine....
Sparknotes: I'm sorry I wasted your time with this thread.
