i only started skiing park last season and havent had a chance to learn to backflip yet. How do you do it, where do you do it, booter, pump track or the park?? Please feel free to comment ho you learnt to flip, and any tips that helped you do it.
If you are comfortable with the backflip on trampoline it's not really a big deal. You do basically the same thing as on trampoline. I did my first backflip on a 15 foot backcountry jump with icy landing. Pretty sketchy, but if you find a jump with soft landing, and takeoff and landing on the same hight that will be optimal.
Most important thing is your pop. You want to pop then rotate otherwise you end up either smashing your head on the lip or not even make the landing. So remember to pop and don't fling your head back you should start your whole rotation using your legs and upperbody not your head/neck.
Also don't think about it. First time I tried a backflip I fucked up real bad, over-rotated and landed on my back onto the hard snowdome ice. But I just did it again and got it. First time you'll probably crash but just try again.
