BobTheSkier.Dale talkington. His seg in all damn day
Huck_E_CheeseIan Borgeson. A lot of the dudes mentioned here slay park and backcountry booters, but cant actually ski (real gs turns, really gnarly, tech lines) worth shit. Ian absolutely slayed it this year on the FWT (2nd at Finals) and not to mention kills it a park. Oh, and he can actually ski. He might not be a Candide but should be in the running. The two ski a lot alike.
JahLiamAhmet??
faux_realAnyone saying Ahmet or Delorme or Talkington is clueless. Those guys kill it, but come on. Tanner's rant about real skiing on real mountains had a grain of truth to it. There'e a difference between stomping a 20 ft. cliff with your jacket open and skiing a gnarly line. There's a difference between what goes down in a Level 1 movie and a TGR movie.

TheTrapWhile I think that Candide and Tanner are without a doubt the Top 1 and 2 best skiers of all time, im going to respectfully disagree with what you said. Yes Tanner was right in that rant, i agree that big mountain is a totally different ball game, but in an overall sense, you have to think about more than just big mountain skiing. There's so many factors involved in genuine skiing ability outside of how good someone is at urban, park, big mountain, etc. Those are categories, not fundamental skills. The thing that makes Candide and Thovex so good is that they are fundamentally better than every other skier in the world. These skiing basics such as edge control, a good eye to pick out lines, creativity, innovativeness, comfortability on a mountain, mental ability to overcome fear, etc. are what make up a great skier. When someone can apply these basics to all different categories of skiing, that's when a rider really excels. Candide's trials havent necessarily been documented as well so I'll focus on Tanner, a great place to start with him is the segment in Like a Lion where he describes how he fucked up in Vail and got put in a drunk tank or something like that then the next morning turned that mess into motivation to dominate the pipe. The fact that he was mentally able to overcome the shame and embarassment of that situation and still feel he was the best skier in that competition and then ski to that same level is something that I don't think many people in this world can do. Skiing is more a mental game than anything else, and to be the best ever, you have to have superior control of your emotions, fear, and confidence when compared to other riders. Tanner being the loud and expressive person that he is compliments his raw skiing ability. This is just my own thoughts, but for Candide I think it's his mystic and quietness that fuels his skiing. He knows how good he is, but maybe it doesn't compliment his mental state to go out and broadcast that. When he's in solice, he skis his best, and through his trials he's learned that I think. Candide and Tanner are polar opposites of eachother, but they both know that and know exactly what needs to be done for themselves to ski the best they can, and it just so happens that the best they can is better than everyone else can. That's my thoughts on it, feel free to add your own. I'd love to hear how everyone else thinks of skiing and is basing their decisions in this thread.
Lou.Candide, McChesney, durtshi, delorme.
PoudreblancheWester, Olsson maybe?
CrutchKillerJokes? Probably
MarkusHaakonI Never know why there is no one saying Even Sigstad, he also kills everywhere, and is without a doubt a better urban skier.
outaouais_reppintim mcchesney is pretty much killing it everywhere this year. those last tricks in the latest faction edit where unreal and he's definitively comfortable in the streets and parks, pwhite and chris logan too are both pretty good all around skiers.
C-Walcompletely forgot ahmet, i know the guy doesn't ski the craziest lines yet, but he sends it off big cliffs, probably has the steeziest switch landings and we all know his urban and park game.
DivineHonestly even though he is new to big mountain I think you should put lj strenio in the mix
gaper_assasini gotta say chris logan is a contender as well

PKchuAlthough he may not be the best overall skier, gotta mention Banks. His style is super sick, kills it everywhere, and on everything. I mean the guy is a former pro boarder and skater, and he's pretty damn good at surfing too. Athlete wise I think he would take it any day.
MonnorCartinWhat about Tom Wallisch? I mean, look at the wallisch project

Henrik?
HarlTheGnarlDear Lord are you kids kidding with some of these replies? Half of the kids answering in this thread have probably never been outside of a park before and never watched a movie besides Stept or YouTube edits...
The correct answers here are Tanner Hall, Sammy C, Dane Tudor, and Candide Thovex. You could probably put Parker White and AD up there, but they've still got a little ways to go until they are on that other level. Nobody else really comes close to them when it comes to ALL around skiing. I haven't seen Ahmet skiing any big mountain/AK or gnarly backcountry lines, he mostly just hits cliffs and kickers in the BC...Not saying that its not sick, I'm just saying that there is a whole different level that guys like Sammy and Candide are on, and its very unique. A perfect example of it would be the way that those guys kill big, gnarly lines with such fluidity and style.
Tim McChesney? Are you fucking kidding? Whoever contributed a comment like that deserves to be euthanized. Sure, his respective skiing his really sick, but come the fuck on children.
