Best rail for learning?

(please excuse the typing and spelling, im on mobile) so i had a jib built from last year but im gonna build a new rail, is it easier to learn suff like 270s on and fs and bs switchups on a flat rail or a larger tube rail? thanks

i always thought "all 8" was all 270 combinations forward and switch

Like previously stated I would suggest a triple barrel, probably with te PVC pipe being about 1/2 inch diameter for each pipe.
About a foot off the ground would be ideal, as its high enough off to spin of of yet low enough also for low risk.

I'll post a pic when I get home, just to get you some ideas.

Big tube rail for sure. Perfect for learning surface swaps and presses too and it feels more like a real rail than multiple pvc pipes

^Would have to agree. See if you can find a construction site and see if you can pick up a few of the large PVC pipes they have laying around there.

I got unlucky and the first time I hit my fat tube, my skis smashed right through because it was a bit thin. It was fun while it lasted.

Anyway, to the OP if you are still looking for info I just built a sweet triple barrel, and I have never done rails before but its really easy and super fun. I think I'll make a tutorial for it as it is super solid and works amazingly.

long flat rail sure sure. triple barrel or a fat PVC

large tube rails are the best!
