Yo! Shredding perisher for 2014 season in 6 weeks or so, anyone from england, sweden or murica heading out that way? Gonna mostly be in the park and pipe (when they build it).. Also any tips on good tree runs and ridges for some back country would be appreciated!

Well pretty much backcountry is non existant at Perisher. A couple of good runs if they're is a dump is off to the left of excelerator through the trees, or rock gardens is fun. Every listed run on the map gets tracked out fairly quickly. I find the best unknown powder spot is over at Mt P on eyre T bar. If you follow the ridge line and the out of boundaries you can drop into a bowl on the other side of the mountain and when you get to the bottom you just follow the road back to eyre. If you catch the interceptor chair and you climb the little peak you can drop into the back of the ridge line from perisher to blue cow and if you have two options to go either way. Off to the left of the Mt P triple there are some tree runs with some alright drops which can be fun. Also just some tips; don't catch the quad to get over at Mt P just catch the stuart T bar and then catch the leichardt T bar to get over to Mt P in the morning. As both these t bars open at 8 30 but the quad doesn't open til 9 and the line is huge.
