What companies do this? I'm a rental tech and instructor but my skis broke and I have no money for new ones, plus my jacket got stole last week. dicks, so Im boned basically unless there's some company that does this
depends on where you instruct. if you instruct at Deer Valley people think you're hot shit and will spend their money on whatever shit you tell them makes you a good skier. someone like rossi would likely give you a proform. if you instruct in the midwest, nobody gives a shit what you think.
Talk to your local shops. Show them a video of you or something. I have a sponsorship deal with my local shop and they gave me a brand new set up at the beginning of the season. I was stoked
ask you boss/manager if any companies will offer proform or discounts for employees. if that doesnt work, email some companies and tell them your situation (particularly what you do and how you need new gear) and hope they offer you something. if that doesnt work, you are kinda sol, and should find gear on the bst here
also heads up, even if you are a tech/instructor, nothing will be free. if you dont have any money at all, there is really nothing you can do but start saving. a lot of the time, you will be able to find gear on here (used) that is cheaper than if you get it through proform
the ski industry is all about who you know, but if you have no money, there isnt a lot people will be able to do for you.
