I don't think it's really done up here in Canada. At least it wasn't in my small town. But damn does it look cool.

so like, can you vault onto anything? like a house or cliff or something? i think urban pole vaulting would be rad as fuck. or even like pole vaulting your way to work.

Pole Vaulting can be gnarly stuff, I watched the best HS pole vaulter in Washington state fall from 16+ feet, fall to the side and slice his entire calf open on one of the metal arms that hold the bar up. Probably the worst thing I've seen happen to somebody in person.

Ironically.. It's not allowed for high schools to have pole vaulting in Iowa due to deaths..

Thinking about this thread for long!
I improved 35 inch in one winter! Record is 14 foot 1 inch.
Looking forward to summer only bc polevault!
Also flips off pole is fun AF! Like bend the pole and when it starts to throw forward let go and tuck!

Also hows everyone doing with skiing and polevaulting mixed?
I have 5-7 trainings a week and one rest day. I use that rest day always skiing. Only once a week :/ how are you fellow mates doing this mix?

Also lets see who got the biggest poles ;) haha :D 425 long and 160 pounds is max here!
