My friend's story of why he got circumcised:

It was just after high school. Classes were over and summer had begun. One night, whilst still a virgin, my friend snuck out of his house at midnight to pick up this girl he had been wheeling for a little while. "Genital mutilation" is a pretty graphic term. I think its fair to say that slicing off a pointless flap of skin while someones too young to remember is a lot less harmful than slicing out part of a clitoris from a young girl, and we should really reserve that term for more harmful practices.
