So, Tuesday morning is when it all happened……first run through the private Rockstar spring shoot at Grand Targhee….First off I follow Willy and Walker through the jumps,. After the jump there was this really sticky and steep Down Flat Down, it was whole lot steeper than it looked from the chairlift. I slid the down part as I hit the flat, I cut an edge on the rail and did half a flip to my back, on ice. At first it felt like I knocked the wind out of me harder than ever. But my back was hurt. It took me a couple of minutes to breathe again, once I did, with a ski patrol I tried to walk back to our hotel which was pretty close. As I am walking, I felt my legs getting weaker and weaker, to a point where I was going to fall but the ski patrol caught me just in time. She told me to sit down and wait for help. While waiting for the ambulance, I had lost the feeling of my legs for 5-10 minutes…..I WAS FREAKING OUT…..I could not believe what just happened……than they moved me to the ambulance waiting area. They took out my ski boots and slowly I started moving my toes and getting feeling in my feet again…..THANK GOD…….The ambulance drove down to the local hospital where they took a Cat Scan of my back. The results showed that I shattered my T5 vertebra and that surgery was needed. They than air lifted me to Idaho Falls where I met Dr. Cash (no joke). He told me surgery was scheduled for Wednesday afternoon.
And it went great!! totally successful…..hoping to fly back home on Tuesday!!

That's great you are doing well!
Did they fuse you? I'm fused t2-t8... been that way since 2010 and feel pretty good. But I also lost feeling in legs at first, left leg came back after 15 min but my right leg didn't come back completely for a full week. Scary and humbling to say the least!
Stoked that Vinni is alright. Also super appropriate that someone as legendary as Vinni Ca$h was mended by someone with a name as dope as Dr. Cash. All is well.
