hey this will be my first year at a summer camp and i wanna learn the most i can. i would say im a pretty average skier as far as park goes (can do a couple 450 outs, switchups, 270 on...) and i wanna know what camp would be the best for my money, what camp i would learn the most and which is the most fun
Come to Camp of Champions and learn so much in a short time that you will be amazed when you look back at your week and dig into your bag of tricks and see so many new tricks you now have.
At COC you get coached 3 hours a day longer than you do at Momentum because the park at COC is ready to rip as soon as the lifts open instead of after you do a few slip runs to groom the park that should have been groomed already. The COC park is groomed every night and then tuned by a professional dig crew all day. At Momentum they groom once a week on the middle day and then you have to side slip out the braking bumps for the rest of the week. Our professional dig staff takes care of the park so that all you have to do when you come to camp is ski with your coach and fill your bag of tricks with both hands.
You get coached from 8:15 AM - 3PM at COC. There is no time lost with you having to groom, going to the lodge for a leisure lunch and grooming again at the end of the day like you do at Momentum. At COC the extra hours you get with your coach every day more than makes up for the slightly longer lines on our side of the glacier. You almost get double the coaching time at COC.
Our coaches are amazing as well. Skogen Sprang, the coach that led the US Team sweep of the podium at Sochi in Slopestyle used to be a COC coach. So many upper level coaches all have COC in their past that you won't be surprised that a couple years seeing your coach winning events or coaching others to win events.
At COC you stay at the Holiday Inn Resort in the middle of Whistler village. The best summer camp accommodations anywhere. Luxury one bedroom suites.
The skatepark is across the street, dinner a block away, the lifts 3 blocks away and all of Whistler village at your doorstep. Every night we go to Bounce Academy the amazing trampoline facility. Every 8 Day Deluxe camper gets one bungy jump off the 170 foot bridge to help you get over any "scared of heights " issues.

it doesn't really matter where you go, both are super fun. That being said I really hate lift lines and I went to momentum 6 or so years back. Having short lift lines is nice. COC's lines are abysmal for a good portion of the day.
