ThundaKillaTo be honest I would just buy a cheap pair of skis to beat on your first year, then buy a nice pair after you really learn to ski park. Thats what I did last year. I skied from age 2-8 then snowboarded for 8 years.
I bought a pair of Bluehouse Antics for cheap and absolutely destroyed them re-learning how to ski. This season I bough some a Filthy Riches and I'm really glad I didn't learn how to ski with them. They are definitely bombproof skis, but learning how to hit rails is going to quicken the aging of your skis.
I'd suggest you buy some Surface Blanks or something similar that you won't care about wrecking. I got a scape in the bottom of my FRs and I almost cried. Invest in some good bindings this year and then put them on your new skis the year after.
