Snowflex vs skis

im planning a trip to liberty this summer im just wondering which skis to pull outa the quiver for the trip. my question does the snowflex do a number on your skis or it is pretty easy going stuff? Should i have out my old knock-arounds or would i be safe to use the newer ones without destroying them?

We all ride our regular skis on the surface. If you have doubts, then sure, you old skis. I am not saying that it won't tear up your skis, but I have yet to have a problem with it.

The only think is that the legs of the rails are weighted down and covered with peaces of excess snow flex, so if you fall off early on a rail you MIGHT catch a ski on that and get a chip or so. Yet I have not had to deal with that either!

Such an awesome place and whether you mess up a ski our not, you are still skiing in the summer. Its sick!

Honestly if you rode it every day maybe but I don't think it's that bad. If you're only going for a short time don't even worry about it. It didn't damage my base at all.

I would use the skis your most comfortable with so you get the best sesh.

Depends how long you are there. If it's just a session for a few hours you will be fine on new skis. If your there for a week or so use old skis. Constant use will burn the bases. It may not be noticeable at first but the base will not take in wax like it did and you will new a base grind to remove te burnt surface. I have even seen bases shrink from the heat but these were skis which were just used on snow flex. So for a day new skis will be ok for an extended period use old skis.

well its the same surface as 5+ years ago so why would have anything changed?
