Best PUBLIC Spring/Early Summer Parks

I'm too old and too poor for a camp, but where can I go for the best park in May or June? And what's cheapest (aka doesn't require renting a car)? Mt Hood Meadows? Timberline? Wait until later in the summer and go to Chile?

There is too much info on camps and not enough on public park conditions...

Dont know much about any of the stateside parks but im spending 3 weeks down in L2A this summer around june time. Their park is pretty epic as far as summer parks go and the lifts take you up there from the village below, it is in europe though

I'm tempted to give it a go this summer too. What's the deal? Rock up, get a pass as ride? Also how much is accommodation costing?

Totally forgot about L2A. Sounds and looks sick, but looks like a bitch to get to after flying over from the states...

Timberline on Hood has a good public park throughout the summer. If you're in North America and don't want to do a camp, it's the best option by far. If you go in May, you can get a spring pass for ~110. You start saving on your second day with that.

The Timberline spring pass is $99 and good through May 26th.

Black Park on Blackcomb hands down. super long runs, large jumps (WSI course remains), and tons of rails. If you fly into Vancouver you can take the Greyhound right into whistler village. Not to mention much better off the hill activities than damn near any ski town.

also if you go for the public park on the glacier they dont have jumps for the first part of jully

Yeah man, im doing it through a ski company called NUCO from the UK, they subsidize the lift passes so it comes to around $250 for a week. That includes lift pass and accommodation as well as pass for the trampolining place and a bunch of other stuff.

L2A is sick and the last ever Kumi-Yama is on this July but it is about a 3 hour drive from Lyon Airport. You can get the train to Grenoble and then a taxi up from there though. This will be my fifth summer up there. Oh and Crankworks is on aswel.

liberty snowflex in virginia is a option for the east if you are looking to cut down on travel and progress really fast in park.
