Custom Video Thumbnails

Could we PLEASE get custom video thumbnails that we can upload? Doesn't seem like it'd be that difficult to implement, and it could really change the likelihood of someone watching a video because you can make the thumbnail more attractive than a screen grab.

Yes, but they should be limited to video content. Those custom youtube thumbnails of vloggers (you know, the solid color backgrounds, text, and weird facial expressions) make me throw up, if that comes to newschoolers, I might die from throwing up too much. Also, a kid could use a pic of a huge burly urban quad kink as their thumbnail when it's really a gopro mini park edit.

I've noticed the auto dead centre square crop on photos will often cut the skier right out, sometimes killing views. A lot of sites have a way to custom set the crop preview, add it to the list?

It's already on the list! It's surprisingly a lot harder than I thought it would be to implement, but we're going to be sitting down on Monday and looking at the video player and NSTV as a whole.
