Panning Photos?

Have any of you guys had any good results with panning photos of skiing? Or even tried? I was wondering how it would look!

Yeah, I've seen it done for racing. I think there a couple reasons skiers don't do it so much. The background is often super pretty/an important part of the picture so you don't want it blurry and you would need some crazy ND filters to get your shutter speed that low. Our sport is not focused on all out speed in a straight line so a photography style that focuses on that is not as popular.
