What is up with people saying things such as "that backflip doe" or when referring to a hot girl, "that ass doe?" is this some weird new phrase that i haven't seemed to pick up on yet? Can someone please verify the origins of this "doe" phrase, and furthermore, can we all vow to never use it again? Its fucking stupid.

Everyone uses different venicular. I say, get over it. What makes the way you think you speak superior to this so called ghetto trash? It's what makes everyone different and spices stuff up so we don't all sound like puritans. East coast has slang, west coast has it's own and so on. Get over yourself.
I was under the impression it came from memes and internet culture. Although I don't think people who say it are necessarily idiots in the common sense of the term, I do think they are making an ass of themselves when they say it anywhere other than with their internet (reddit) friends.
OP, if you speak in perfect English as if you were writing an English essay you're pretty lame and we could not be friends. Most people use slang. Unless you're hanging around a younger crowd how many people actually say "doe" and are serious about it? Or, are you one of those older folk who says thing like "kids these days"?

I'm 23 so i don't really think I'm a kid anymore. I just don't think the "doe, tho, though" thing is funny. I actually think its really annoying, as do the majority of the voters of my poll, which was the entire purpose of this thread.

As someone who is your age, I'd solidly put is in the category of "kids these days," at the very least we're nowhere near old enough to be criticizing the conduct of teenagers and talking about how different life was when we were that age. Not directed at you specifically, more a general comment on how often the teenagers/early 20-somethings on ns talk about how much harder life was when they were younger than it is for kids now.

I'm 24, but when I was younger we used to have just as shitty phrases. The only one I can recall is using "mad" as an adjective for a lot. I'm sure the 20 some things thought that was ridiculous.
