Replying to Drop in materials?

I was wondering what the pros and cons are for different styles of drop ins.

Here's what I DO know

Astro turf- high maintenance needs water to go fast

Construction fencing ( the orange stuff)- fast but not much control

Lattice work- I have seen pictures of lattice on turf but have heard that it is ok on its own

Can some one please tell me if my facts are right and what else I should know?
