Replying to What if?
I'm sitting here listening to a lecture on events leading up to World War 1 and it's got me thinking, what if Gavrilo Princip hadn't decided to go to that coffee shop after he had missed his chance to assassinate Archduke Franz Ferdinand during his initial drive down Appel Quay?
Would there have been no World War 1? Life today might have been drastically different. It's weird to think how that one decision made by Princip has impacted our world so substantially. That one decision resulted in over 16,000,000 deaths and has contributed to the causes of many other world events.
I don't really know what the point of this thread is but it's just crazy to think how one individual can make a decision that has such an astounding effect on human life on earth.
