New format but no edit post?

I love the new format guys. Works really well especially on mobile now but why can I ask is there still no edit post? With more people posting on mobiles auto correct mistakes become a lot more regular but still there is no function to edit a post just to correct mistakes. Why is this?
From my understanding mods can edit posts but no one else. The lack of editing a post has annoyed me since I joined and I hoped it would be taken care of in the format change but seemingly not.
Any reasons you guys don't want to implement an edit post function?

it's a whole lot funnier if people can't edit their posts, and I bet most of NS isn't mature enough to not fuck with everyone by changing everything all the time. At least that's the only reason I've ever heard for them not implementing it. If it's to edit something for sake of grammar, just make another post. Editing S/T OP's is an awesome addition and the only necessary one I see.

I would absolutely fuck with everyone of my posts and every thread would turn to garbage. NSG would become a blackhole

Well how about somthing like you can only edit a post once and the original post would be visible by clicking somthing. That way the original post would be there but you could just quickly address mistakes without having to post another response.

It's been widely accepted that NS forums outside of B/S/T will never have the ability to edit posts, if you need something fixed, PM a mod, it just like deleting threads, etc.
