yah so I had a dirty bail on monday in wich my left leg kinda got a little folded sideways and back around... it never hurt and I skied back down on it fine but its a little tight now, anyhoo I was just currious what it felt like to blow your acl or mcl or whatever.

ull know if u tear ur acl trust. u prolly just pulled ur mcl if it hurts on the inside of ur knee. just stay off it fer a couple days and itll be just fine

if you blew it, walking would be very painful and your knee would be swollen, it never hurts to go to a sports medicince clinic, unless oyu are in the states and have to pay for that shit....

ok well for most people it feels like a huge pop and like your getting stabbed, if you could imagine what that would feel like. i tore my mcl and it wasnt pretty. i skied on it in horrible pain for two days though so who knows. get it checked out.

yah I remember a guy in high school blew his acl playing b-ball and he fell over and started screaming but some people dont even know it until much later.. didnt sarah burke ski like half a season with wrecked knee??

I ripped a bit out of both my mcls overshooting a landing at Nakiska, and i skiied down the mountain, but then collapsed and was carted to the hospital. But i was walking within 2 days and skiing within a week, because the tears were really superficial. It hurts like shit at the time

when i blew my mcl, it was a huge fucking pop with a stabbing pain and then not much pain, it just hurt to bend it. I was walking the next day, skiing within a week and jumping normal witin 6 weeks, it fucked up my confidence really bad though.

when i did my acl i felt a huge pop and a LOT of pain. like lying in the snow screaming for 20 mins kind of pain. and i have a pretty high pain tolerance too. then it went away, and it got mad swollen. pretty gross. when i tried to stand it just gave way, like nothing was holding it together. then again, i did my acl, mcl, meniscus, and fractured my femur all at once. when i did my lcl it felt unstable and really hurt to bend it. from the sounds of things you're fine though.

If you tear your MCL you'll know it. But I have seen cases where people have torn their ACL and didn't feel a thing. I worked as an intern at a sports medicine hospital over the summer, if you were wondering where my knowledge came from.

when i tore my acl last season playing hockey it was the worst pain i have ever had, i couldnt walk on it or nothing, used a hockey stick for a cane for a few days.

but if you kept going you could be fine or it could be a minor tear which would get worse if i fall again

when i tore mine it didnt hurt at all. it felt like a pain that would just go away if i sat down for a second. but when i stood up it was not feeling very stable.

You may not know initially if you rip your ACL actually. When I ripped mine, I got hit from behind during a hockey game, and hit it hard enough on the boards that it bounced back and ripped. I played 3 more games in 4 days before it started to swell up to a good size and I noticed something was really wrong.
