I'm asking this because I think I'll be switching boot sizes after I mount them (currently in a 27.5 when my foots 25.5).
is there enough heel piece adjustment for this to work?

GnarcotiksI have Axial2 bindings. I went from a 315mm BSL to a 310mm BSL (27.5 Nordica to a 27 Full Tilt). I had to have them remounted so i am positive you will need them remounted.
tomPietrowskiYou should not have needed a remount they have at least 10 mm of travel. I would guess you already had the binding at the front of the track so there was nowhere left to move it.
tomPietrowski^yeah I would think the bindings must have been mounted for a bigger boot still. Remounting is not as bad as everyone thinks, get it done right and it really wont affect the ski.
With regards to FKS they actually have less travel then most track style bindings. They have around 15mm totall so about7.5 each way, but seeing as its not a horizontal adjustment in practice you wont get the full 15mm out of them so you will find remounts are far more common with FKS then track style bindings.
Dont worry about the attack either, they are just cheap bindings. We have sold a tonn of them this year and seen no problems at all. STH are better but I think the attack are great.
tomPietrowskiThe axial does have a lot of adjustment probably more then any other binding. It will totally depend in the boots though. 27 to 26 I would think you are ok but 2 sizes maybe not but without knowing the BSL of the two boots and knowing where in the track they are currently it's impossible to say. If you buy boots though the shop should remount for free if you need a remount so as I say it's not the end of the world. Better to have a good boot fit an a remount then badly fitting boots.
BoaxTab-adjust Axial 2s go about 15mm smaller and 25mm bigger than what the jig was set for. Worm screw ones could be different.
