I know there are plenty of threads for choosing a tripod, but I'm still not sure what to get. I'll be using it mainly for photography, and I want one that isn't unbearably heavy because most of the shoots I do, I end up hiking around for long periods of time. I will be doing a little video during the summer, but I won't really do a lot until ski season, and even then I will only shoot video with a tripod maybe 4-6 days during the season.
So, For the amount of video I will be doing, Is it worth it to get a fluid head? If so how much money should I put towards a fluid head? What legs will be relatively light but sturdy? What ball head should I get? Unless suggested I don't really want to spend the money on a fluid head until it gets closer to ski season, So for now I'd say my budget is 150$ for legs and a ball head. I know it's not a lot, but I really don't have much money to spend at the moment, and I'd like to save some money for buying some good glass later on.
If you could recommend some gear or point me in the right direction, that would be great!
