Need Help With Antique Lens

Hey M&A,
So my friend approached me saying he has some old film slr lens laying around he would sell to me. The lens are the nikon 35-70 and the nikon 70-120. Those are 2 focal lengths I currently don't have covered and Ik that often times you can get great prices on antique lens. So he offered 45 for both and I said I would look into it. I have a few questions for you guys because I have 0 knowledge of antique lens. So what converter would I need to convert this to be able to shoot video on a t3i (these were originally mounted on a nikon 4004s). And is this worth that much or am I wasting my time completely. Thanks so much.

Ah well because I'm not feeling like an ass today, Nikon has made eight 35-70's and five 70-210's (70-120's don't exist apart from the one that ken Rockwell has).

Are these lenses worth it? Could be, they will most likely be the basic bitch lenses considering the camera they were mounted on (people with a F401 don't get 'pro' zooms), but you have no idea on their state, scratches can be bad and fungus is worse (can be fixed but it will cost you) furthermore even if the lenses have AF coupling it's useless because the adapter won't, so manual focus only.

You would need a Canon Eos to Nikon F mount adapter (most likely without aperture control, since that will most likely be right on an 80's lens, yeah save 20 bucks) Novoflex makes the absolute sexiest metal rings to slam that old Nikon glass on your Rebel, they will cost you though.

They can also just be shitty third-party lenses, people with no clue like to call the lenses brand after the camera they are mounted on.

I reccomend equipment I am knowledgeable about. I have 0 experienece with old lens so I never give any advice concerning them. But ok you for the advice

At 45 for both, I would. If they end up being a bust, you aren't out too much, and it could potentially be a great deal. And ef-f adapters aren't too expensive

Work him down to maybe like 30 and try them out. Definitely buy them if they have aperture rings.
