ok i rode bridges, infamous, and prodigy's this season, the bridges and the infamous broke super fast, my prodigy's are still in pretty good condition but im looking to sell them. Obviously you can tell from the title that im looking for something softer, im cool with a wider ski. im looking for something thats going to be able to last at least 1/2 the season mostly what i wanna know is how different the flex is on these three skis, i rode my buddy's domains in the correct size and they were super fun, still poppy even w/o camber, ive also ridden the chronics, just not in the correct size (i was on the 171's i'd buy the 178's) and i liked the flex on them so thats why i was thinking about the blend b/c i know they're a little softer so i was thinking in the correct size they'd have a flex i like. a review would be nice +k to the helpful sheeit
Domain, k2 makes bomber skis. My friend who broke 3 pairs of skis last season rode k2 recoils all this year and they only have a few small edge cracks.
Ok I would only go for domains if you plan on skiing 95% or more park. Granted, I have not ridden them myself, but any fully symmetrical, flat cambered, noodle flexing ski is going to be far from ideal for any all mountain use. If you do ski almost all park, I have heard nothing but the best for them as a playful jib ski.
^yep. all are pretty park orientated but the lines have some versatility. really that will be your deciding factor. or if you want to stick with k2 and get some all mountain performance look at the recoil (shreditor92 next season?)
If you're looking for something that can go all mountain then the recoil would be great if you want to stay with the k2 line. I can almost guarantee they will last you the whole season.
i would only ride them all mtn for a week or so if i go out west, even then itll be mostly pow and trees so if i were looking at an all mtn ski id go wider then 90 or 92
If you're having trouble with skis durability get the domains. I have he Recoil which are the same construction and I'm amazed at how durable they are. It was the first ski in three years that lasted me an entire season. As far as the flex goes the domains are soft, relative to the other I'm not exactly sure but I can assure you that the Domains will last you more than half the season. The edges are massive (3.5mm) and the top sheet is very durable. My skis only have a few chips and a few minor edge cracks after a whole season of abuse. The year before I snapped two pairs of skis and blew out the cap and ripped a ton of edge out on a line mastermind. Reason the Domains still hold pop is because they run a traxial braid and carbon stringers which adds to the skis rigidity allowing them to spring back harder when pressure from flex is relieved. This makes them hold their pop longer as well. Almost all the lines I've had delaminated which sucks and K2 has the rivets so that won't happen. Even though I haven't skied the skis you're looking for based on experience with K2 I'd say go for the Domains
