Ski areas and logos

In our experience there is usually some sort of a trade. Take for example our a frame creeper rail at Windells. We sponsor Windells and so part of our sponsorship with them was us buying the feature and letting them use it for the season. But if you look at another feature we have branding on at The Great Divide they already had the feature we just added our logos to it. For this we supplied their park crew with outerwear for their uniforms.

So you can see its really a case by case scenario.

I've made features for a few brands and most of the time it was for product trade that went towards events at the mountain. Occasionally a brand or local rep would approach us to rock their products on the crew in exchange for exposure on the hill as well.

Thanks for the response. I also noticed that some parks have a few different sponsors on rails while others just have one companies logo. Do some parks actually have contracts with these companies that stipulate they exclusively have their companies logos on their rails?

Yes. If you look at places like I Ride Park City there are the same 4 or so logos on every rail feature. These companies sponsor The park and have contracts with them that stipulate their logo on every feature among other things too I assume. It really all comes down to the level of involvement agreed upon between the two parties involved.
