Down rails

So basically I can consistently slide down rails, and can trick flat rails, but I can't seem to do any tricks off of down rails no matter how hard I try. Any tips?

Tricks on a down rail are a lot harder than a flat rail because it's going down, obviously. A tip would be to set the trick a bit harder, and initiate it a bit earlier, then pop harder than you usually would to get some more air time to get whatever it is that you're trying to do around.

Dig your front edge in a lot as you are about to come off the rail. Hope it helps
