2015 Armada AR7

i dont care if repost, but does anyone have info on next years ar7's?? If yes, are they gona be similar to this year,s or will they be re-disigned? Also will the sizing, price and flex change?

No changes I'm pretty sure. The base looks sick, but the top sheet looks like ecstasy on the vegas strip.

If they make no changes, then nobody should buy them if they want their skis to last.

Armada had started experimenting with how little materials (mainly epoxy) that they could use to make their skis still rock while saving costs. This year was a huge failure to say the least. I have seen skis left and right breaking and delamming only a few weeks old. Have you noticed the unprecedented surge of Armada ski problems this year? theres a reason for it. I pray to god that Armada can recover from this year's damage to their reputation and customer following.

It was really only the Al dente that had problems with its really thin edges, look at the JJ that hasn't been changed for 6 years.

The amount of epoxy being used has changed which changes the skis durability.

I work in a freeski shop in Breck (i.e. TONS of park skiers who slay and we cater to 90% of them) that sells mainly armada on the ski wall and we have not had one single armada come back with an issue that you speak of. We've only had issues with line skis and the atomic infamous.

I think you just want to think there's a problem but there really isn't. There is no damage to the company and the interest in their skis is still huge, it's the number one brand as far as people coming in asking about them go.

oh, and I'm sorry but the term "thin edges" seriously needs to be thrown out the window, they're no different than the rest of the edges they use LOL

Why would i make that up? I have nothing against armada, but its a fact. I have personally seen dozens of fucked up armada's from this year. I even have a sponsored athlete who is very involved with armada (who is going to stay anonymous) say that the reason why they are breaking and delamming is because they are trying to use less epoxy and in some areas, less material. Just because you haven't seen any doesn't mean anything suggesting that I am lying. Out here in the East, Armada is starting to get a less than exemplary rep in my area because of this years skis. I want them to correct their problems so a company like theirs doesn't struggle more than it has to.

The fact that u just said that is embarrassing. I am going to hopefully be making skis as a living so i kind of have to know my shit. Stop trying to show me up. Maybe among ns kids who downvote anything intelligent will u get support but honestly stop. If i am wrong atleast prove it to me with facts and data instead of trying to shit on me. Maybe if you are somehow right will i learn from my mistake.

You're telling him to give you facts, except you're opinions are formed from what? How many peole are using armadas on the east coast? You're telling me that the JJ has been changed over the past 6 years when it hasn't and that Armada is experimenting with epoxy. No they're not, epoxy is used to form layers together, or as a top coat. You really can't experiment with epoxy.

I have personally seen over a dozen broken pairs of armada's this season. Nothing I said has been an opinion other than my thoughts of the performance of the ski and if OP should go out and buy them or not. My friend who had a solid competition year told me about numerous others.
My friend's Coach is the my source, and he is nothing but reliable. The armada-sponsored coach even told my friend to not get another pair of armada's after having them delam underfoot after a month(maybe 2) of only hitting jumps. The new shit that has been coming in through the east coast is Elan atm. It is still pretty underground, but I have seen a shit ton of this years as well as next years Elan's and I might even pick myself up a pair if they are cheap enough.

JJ's are powders skis. They obviously don't take the same beating park sticks do. That is a terrible comparison.

So if I say that I've seen 2 pairs of Elans delam with numerous edge cracks does that mean their product is shit too?

Not at all. Those could be lemons or the people who used those skis go hard. If its only a few pairs of skis with probblems, thAT doesn't say much about the ski, Im not saying that armadas are shit either, just that they need to adjust some manufacturing decisions. Before last season, i saw lots of kids thrashing on armadas and the skis were holding up fine. My cosch even has alpha ones that he has been on for 3 seasons. Armadas are in no way bad skis

This didn't age well.. my 2015 Ar7's are still amazing. The ski still feels super durable, and feels so alive after 5 years of park abuse. Especially after detune. Straight up Ninja skis !!!

I’m sorry what? The JJ was changed twice since 2014. One from the original design to the updated shape in 2015, and then again in 2018 with another update to the shape plus the Smear Tech
