Cigarettes

Cigs and I have a sort of love hate relationship. I would not consider myself addicted to nicotine, however I do quite enjoy a fag or two from time to time. I really do hate the fact that they are so unhealthy, but there is something beautiful about their calming effect on one's self. When I've had a rough day or I am stressed out, I cruise outside and admire the beauty of wherever I am while taking long drags and soothing my mind.
Cigarettes are a necessity for me to achieve peace of mind, but they sure do help.
I'd like to start a general discussion on cigarettes, post your cigarette of choice, your opinion on smoking, reasons why you do or don't smoke etc.


My brand of choice is American Spirit, pic related. I don't like to support the huge corporations who put additives in their product, and use immoral business practices to get their way, which is why I only buy American Spirits.

smoke a butt or two from time to time. i work a high stress fast paced job and they really do feel good after getting slammed at work at night

Granite_StateI snag a couple puffs when drunk and out with friends. Even a whole cig to myself when drunk is disgusting. Never would think to touch one sober.

Also 2 of my 3 roommates smoke. They literally have no clue they are in denial. Those ads come on and me and another roommaye tell them thats gonna be them in 20 years. "It can't/won't happen to me" seems to be the biggest excuse. That or " yeah ill get around to quiting". They tried and lasted like 3 days. Just dont get the allure...


3 days isnt exactly a lot, it can take months to cut down until you've quit for good.

Nothing beats a cigarette after a few beers.

I prefer cigars though, and a lip from time to time, much more than a cigarette

lolol op i have literally said the exact same words you have, you don't think your addicted then two years down the line you realize you haven't gone more then a few days without smoking in forever. And you can't ever turn down a cigarette. stop while you can, no person in the history of the world has EVER regretted quitting smoking.

idk about you, but not having a hangover the next morning..
Maybe I mean after more than a beer or two though. I don't know if it's because you're already so drunk that you think smoking cigs is a good idea, or if it's directly because smoking and drinking are a horrible combination for a hangover...all I know is the worst hangovers are the ones after I smoke and drink the night before

that 2 min or so cigarette high is just the best.
I don't really understand how you can get addicted to smoking. Even if I smoke a couple every day for a longer period of time, I can just say I wanna quit and totally stop smoking from one point to another.
Been doing that a few times, but in general I just smoke while drinking.
