Apparently they are only going on sale for one day, April 15th, for $1500. Definitely not interested in buying for myself, but I bet the resale market might be good. Anyone gonna buy?

I predict these selling out immediately. Google isn't doing this pre-sale for the money. They want the publicity. They want every big news source to be talking about how every pair sold out immediately. They want to build more hype. Just my opinion.

How could they not sell out? Even with review blogs snatching them they'd be gone instantly.

It's not worth buying ever. If for nothing else than you look like a fucking idiot. This kind of technology getting merged into sunglasses, stylish optical solutions, etc. That makes sense and is probably the only successful future of the design. But this is literally an invention to save your arm from lifting a cellphone 12 inches as it stands now.

You may look like an idiot, but an idiot who has a pair of $1500 glasses! Also until they can input a computer inside someone's brain, it's not worth upgrading.

You can buy a pair of Glass Explorers off ebay for less than $1500 right now. I don't think you could really turn much of a profit off these.

I was invited to the explorer program a bit ago and got them. They are fun to use on every now and then, but right now they are not at a point where I see myself using them on a daily basis.

There were only like two sales on ebay that shot up that much. Then people started realizing they could and the market got majorly diluted. But there were still two or three people out there who sold their factory restored iPhones with Flappy Bird for 6-7 thousand dollars.

So I flipped some PS4s on Craigslist but I feel like Craigslist wouldn't really be the place to sell these, especially not at $2000+. I have some expendable cash right now, anyone have any experience with Ebay? How much am I looking at in fees etc? Or do you think people would pay cash off CL for these things?

These are not cool. One of the firm's involved in the glass explorer program did a presentation in my marketing class on their technology and then let us mess around with 2 pairs of glass. Super overrated.

no, they aren't that cool....my brother is a google developer and has a few floating around his house...basically the only notable thing is the voice recognition and being able to record/take pictures wherever you look

scrolling through the menu by looking up/down/left/right is cool though....not $1500 cool

and for those of you talking about flipping...limit one per customer?

I just dont think that these will take off like people think. Sure they will sell out right off the bat like any new technology. But I feel like people really don't see a need for this. It is just a convince and for $1500 it isn't worth it. I wouldn't even pay #400 for it. I just don't see a point in having glasses that can do what the thing in my pocket can do.

It's actually 3.4% for paypal(UK at least)

and eBay is 10% up to a relatively low maximum(100$~ over here)




I wouldn't be surprised everyone trying to flip these failed because of that exact reason.
