How to make a box?

Hey there i was just wondering if anyone tell me how to make a box? Like any booters know how? Im making one for my brother for christmas so it's gotta be kinda quick and cheap. Thanks

box...as in funbox?

build out of wood, and you could use treated lumber so it doesn't rot.


build a rectangular shape, and use puckboard to cover it...that's the money box.

what's a puckboard? I actually only need help with what the top is made of or what i could use to make the top with that would actually work nice. (I dont need the metal edges on the box cuz im not gunna grind it, just slide it. I got a rail or grinding)

theres some store in winnapeg that ships that stuff in sheets for 20 dollars canadian...i want to get a sheet for my back yard soon cuz i cant find any around albany

a 10 foot long 2 by six then make supports and another one then on top of the higher one put four 1.5 inch pvc or steel. you can make it any height i gotta pic.

Five0 is selling sheets of lexan...there a pretty good deal. Look at some pictures and make sure you have screws, and lots of supports

there are many diff. ways but i think unless you're doing it full pro it's best to keep the rails out of it or the middle bit sinks in and it gets all fucked up

I was also thinking about building a box but im kinda confused now...Should i just build like a wooden frame and put something on top of it like lexan or something similar? If i put on lexan can i grand it or just slide it?

Im gonna write up a detailed description on how I Made my box. It seems alot of people are interested. I t turned out so nice and the paint job we put on it is hot i'll have the instructions up asap.

Would anything on this site work well for the top a box? What kind of properties do things like polypropelene exhibit, i have no idea, but that stuff is pretty cheap.

you could take some plastic some thing or other and melt it. then pour it onto the tor oy your box. wait for it to dry then drill in on
