JSkis vs. Armada vs. Line

I'm stuck in my decision for which skis to get for next season. Here are my choices: Jskis Tropic Thunder Part deux 184cm w/ 98underfoot. Armada Alpha X 182. And last but not least Line Chronic 185. I'm skiing in amazing Iowa so most of my riding will be park. I do make trips up to the UP of Michigan so thats my reasoning for looking at not just straight up park skis. Any comments whether serious or sarcastic are greatly appreciated.

Line Chronics are amazing skis. I haven't skied the other two so I can't comment on them. That said, the Chronics are park skis. If you want something good for off piste you want something much wider.

I've been feeling the chronics all year but now that it is time to make a decision I'm having second (and third) thoughts

J skis are quality stuff, you will not be disappointed. Spend your money in the right place, keep it in the industry, and get an insanely good ski that smashes anything that Line and Armada put out, not to discredit either.

Been on that thought train lately. I was about to cave in and buy the tropics tonight, but I decided to post this thread and see if anyone could talk me out of breaking the bank

Yeah I've been really stoked on J Skis stuff lately. Definitely comes with a story and you know exactly where your money will be going. The NS crowd sourced ski was sick.

Has anyone here actually skied the 98mm jski? I'm really interested to know how they ride.

As for the others I have not skied the chronic an I'm not a big fan of the alpha. I don't really get park skis with loads of rocker. Sure it can make surface swaps easier but you loose so much stability. I like a full camber park ski with just a little early rise. But that's me.

I've skied the 90mm, I think ns member goku has skied the 98 shape. J skis are actually really well made and I really like them for the 5 days I've had them. They're pretty soft and the edges are burly as hell + the topsheets are made of this cool material that doesn't really chip. I think liberty's topsheets for 2014-2015 are like that as well. I can't really say much more about them as I suck at skiing, but if you've got any questions you can pm me and I'll try to answer them?

^what ski would you compare them too flex wise? Do they hold an edge can you actually carve hard on them or are they just to soft?

I'm actually not sure about the comparison as I haven't ridden many skis, but the edge hold is alright (I didn't detune mine and they come razor sharp, so that might have something to do with it). They turn pretty quickly though.

fuucckkk everything i'm hearing about the 90 shape makes me think it's the ski for me. I'm going to buy when I get money.

I would go with jskis, you could also look at surface, nordica or rossignal, lots of smaller brands as well that make great skis
