Replying to Should the Western world invest in Africa?

I can't imagine that it would be very difficult to acquire land + labor in Central/Southern Africa to excavate precious resources while paying legal wages or commission and stimulating local economy.

Main issue is infrastructure start up costs, but investors. China is already there, west has got to catch up. Rather then imperialize like in the 1800-1900s we should consider a mutually beneficial relationship, considering in todays world it is much harder to get away with that sort of thing. Thoughts?
