Granite_StateAll I know is if all the insects were to die, in 50 years all life on earth will die. Conversely, if all humans died, in 50 years all life on earth would flourish.
I think human consciousness is a tragic misstep in evolution. We became too self-aware, nature created an aspect of nature separate from itself, we are creatures that should not exist by natural law. We are things that labor under the illusion of having a self; an accretion of sensory, experience and feeling, programmed with total assurance that we are each somebody, when in fact everybody is nobody. Maybe the honorable thing for our species to do is deny our programming, stop reproducing, walk hand in hand into extinction, one last midnight, brothers and sisters opting out of a raw deal.

sampsihoyosMy dad made a documentary called the cove in 2009. In 2 months and after 5 years of around the clock work he is premiering a new film of his called "6" at the Tribeca film festival in New York at the end of this month. He believes it is the biggest story on earth, I agree. It's called 6 because there have been 5 major extinctions in earth's history dating back 3 billion years. There is at this moment a mass extinction event going on all over the world because of our species. No body seems to realize that up to 30,000 species or more are going extinct each year, faster than we are able to record them. Those of you who have seen the cove should be on par with this level of awareness that I'm hoping people can get on board with. Thank you.
