Motorcycle upgrade question.

Alright guys so I have purchased a 2008 yamaha R6 raven, black. I have already dropped a chunk of change into it for trying to get it track ready. I know I still need TONS of more work to it, but the next on my list to get for her was a power commander. I hear people talking about them and how awesome they are and the power it gives you. I have tried doing some research but can't seem to really find out in detail what they do other than fuel mapping. Also what in your opinion would be best suited for me? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Here is some background info on my riding history if that has anything to do for the right power commander. I have been riding bikes for about 7 years now, and been racing for 2. i had a stock 05 R6 back in Germany and I could tell I was far from the lead. In October I will be moving to Florida after my tour in Korea, and I know there are some tracks around that I really want to get on. I'm an aggressive rider but lacking tons of power on the track. Also this bike will not be only a track bike. It will be my main means of transportation. Thanks again for any help NS, and any insight in the right direction of which to get, or where I should look.
