Contour Roam2 corrupted files

I have a Contour Roam2. Occasionally when I have it running for a few minutes, the
video file is corrupted and I can only watch the first part of it. It
makes no indication when this happens, it acts like it's still recording, and I don't find
out until I get home and play back the files. It tells me the full length of the file, but can
only play part way through. Has anyone else had this issue? Any ideas
how to fix it?

Yeah not buying a contour in the first place will solve your issue

I did email them, and I asked for suggestions a few other places too. I got some ideas of things to try at Epicski so I'll hopefully manage to fix the issues myself. If anyone is interested, here's the thread http://www.epicski.com/t/127417/contour-roam2-corrupted-files

Also, did you try a different card? And is it formatted right? When I had a card formatted to ext4 it wouldn't register, but when I reformatted to fat32 it worked. Try formatting to fat32 with a computer (if it's already fat32, reformat) and if the camera still doesn't register it, then try using the camera's built in format button (press and hold until it beeps then let go and wait until the light stops flashing and it beeps again).

yeah i already tried everything you suggested and even brought it to a repair shop and they said its likely a defect with the camera so hopefully i can get it replaced or get another for cheap or something.

Oh, that sucks. Try to get a warranty replacement then I guess.

Just updating you guys that the camera's built in format option seems to have resolved both issues I was having, so if anyone else runs into a similar situation, try that.
