Political canvassing is the worst/best.

I hated just about everything about it, but the things I hated about it would often turn out to be really cool once in a great while. For example walking around outdoors all day is great when it's sunny and no either freezing cold or ridiculously hot. Also, talking to strangers is awful but once in a great while you meet a cool Mom or hipster chick who invites you in for tea and a shag.

I worked rental for a season or two. Yeah, it wasn't a great job, but I made some good friends, and managed to get into a shop afterwards.

I was a research assistant the summer I graduated from high school. That job sucked, but it paid well and I matured a lot.

The worst job I ever had was as a bricklayer. The work was hard, but igot through it. But the boss was a snap show. He yelled a lot. One day he was going off on a rant, and turned around and stepped on a rake. Instamt karma in the form of a rake handle to the face

I delivered chips for Frito Lay to grocery stores for a summer. That fucking sucked, had to be awake at 2am, on the road by 3, worked until about 1 in the afternoon and then would pretty all much sleep until I had to wake up again.

yeah had to sing the lame ass songs. i thought it would be a cool job due to the cute girls working there when i was younger. also thought the tips would be decent money...nope. i quit when i was getting home around 1130pm on a school night and i was just a sophomore in high school. they made us walk out to the cars as a group when we closed at night. just all in all lame.

switched over to the movie theater after that. that was cool. Free movies, free pop corn, awesome for taking girls to movies for free. easy hours and respected my high school schedule.

ive worked fulltime in a warhouse for a year, just to see why i should go to college.... my job was to smash new items to dust with a hammer. the things i had to smash were imacs, macbooks, desktops, tv's, and all the way down to mp3 players. its was fun at first but then i realized that the things i was smashing in half an hour was worth more than my monthly pay... and the worst thing was that i had to work together with a down syndrom person, worst year of my life

first of all, my english is not perfect but im trying to explain it all.

if you go to a store and buy for example an imac, you have 14 days or whatsoever to return it. the thing is now, the shop has an imac wich is almost brand new but the box is already opened so the value is lower than then a imac in an unopened box. they will send the imac back to the factory so they could check everything out if it all is ok, but to check the imac out is a lot more expensive than fabricate a brand new one so the old one needs to get destroyed (in the eyes of the factory it is the only way). i dont know all the details but the shop loses less money by turning it back to the factory (destroying it) then selling it again.
now these were imacs max 14 days old (used) but when the shop didnt sell a lot of (for example) 2013 imacs and the 2014 imacs came in the shop, they would manage to fake buy them en returning them to the factory wich leads to pallets full of brand new imacs ready to be destroyed by me and my mentally retarded friend Rudy.

the fun part of this all is that the section i worked in was called envicare with big recycling icons everywhere and everything for the environment, while meanwhile all the plastic, iron paper boxes and other stuff went in one big container ready to get trucked to the dumping lot.

What a weird job.


So when it came to prep I didn't do much besides little things that I was told since I am not certified in anything related to the business (although Colorado doesn't require you to be for god knows why) but by far the gnarliest part of my job was removals. Which means when a hospital or morgue is ready to release a body, I went and got it. Also did a few from peoples houses which was a lot different and way weirder. The only good part of my job was working funeral services and just making things go smoothly and helping people out in whatever way they needed. All my bosses actually went to school for directing them and being morticians, but one dude was so incompetent that I pretty much had to take charge and direct a massive roman catholic funeral which was by far the most nerve wracking experience I had. wayyyy too much pressure

SFBso did you snag any of the merchandise?

There were camera's everywhere, i only managed to snag a mp3 player, but that turned out to be broken at home
