I have a manfrotto Xprob, an dits great for general use, but I hear that it beomes really fragile in cold weather so it would not be ideal for skiing. What kind of stuff will you be using it for, and what price range are you looking at? You will be hard pressed to find a good tripod and head for filming for under 100$.

Poor as dicks: 2ndhand Manfrotto 144B with 141RC Head
Average as fuck: a new Manfrotto suited to your needs
Average premium: Sachtler/Gitzo
My parents are richer then yours: Linhoff Profi 3 with Arca Swiss Cube.

It doesnt need to be anything special, just something that pans smoothly and is easy to carry on the mountain. Ill be using it for filming mostly. lets stay under 150? Thanks
