Al dentes vs joysticks

I have narrowed two skis down for what I'm gonna get for next year. I am either gonna go armada al dentes or joystick those (fatter version of these). All in all I just wanted to know which of the two would be a better all mountain buttery ski.

This confused me until I remembered the names i would go with the al dentes if you got the cash i tried a pair for a day but couldn't afford them.

stay away from the al dentes! since they are a wider ski armada thinned the edges out on them to cut on weight. i demoed them at my local hill they had been ridden by about 6 other guys beside me who were all hitting rails and there was already on edge crack on them. I was about to get them to luckily i didn't

Are they really that bad? I heard and have demoed some armadas and there edges did really well because of the cap and semi cap underfoot. I haven't demoed the al dentes tho

my buddy totally blew his al dante's edges out in about ~35 days. ripouts in multiple places underfoot. they really do have paper thin edges.

yeah sorry man they look like a great buttery ski but they just wont last the year or probably even half haha I'm pretty disappointed in armada for putting it onto the market like this id rather have a heavier ski than something that will just fall apart

My dentes have been awesome, granted I don't do many rails but loads of boxes and they have been fine so far. If you are going to use them for all mountain they are really fun and buttery, but still stiff enough underfoot to provide the stability to absolutely rock. If you are doubting their strength, just take a look at some of the vids of what people do on them, pretty crazy.

I don't do too many rails. I'm more of a all mountain jibber kinda guy if you know what I mean. Is mist if the durability problems coming from rails

Im not sure, Ive had them for the best part of the season but I frequently use several other pairs of skis as my "beat" Skis so probably like20-30 days, which I realise isnt that much but they have really been great so far, and I would thoroughly recommend. If you are looking for more of an all round ski that is really fun you wont regret getting it.

Oops, missed this comment.
In this case they will be great for you. They are soft and playful to allow you to mess around but the rocker means that they float damn well in slush/light pow. The main issue would be the cost, as they are expensive AF, but if you are willing to spend that kind of money on a pair of skis, I say go for it.

Ok thanks. And I do some boxes here and there and rails here and there but mostly just do butters, 360s n crap like that

They should be great for that. As long as you refrain from the crazy urban they should last you a long time.

Yeah I wasn't gonna do urban on these but just maybe the occasional box and the even rarer rail. Thanks for your help
