There Will Be Blood


I felt like it was the kind of movie that might have gotten great reviews. Checked online after and the reviews are nothing but excellent. Very highly but honestly it sucked. I'd give it two stars because of Daniel Day Lewis's solid and the cinematography but the movie was still bad.

What else you got? I'll probably remember a bunch of others but I just watched that a couple days ago.

Chubz.I thought interstellar was absolutely horrible. It was good in the beginning but after awhile it fell apart for me


i second this. Maybe it was the fact I was baked so the first half was dope and then the high wore off and then movie turned meh.

dude tru, like i was super into it till about half way thru and after awhile it just started getting so stupid..i had real high hopes for it too and i was pretty let down.

Also nothing that was raved about by critics but a friend went on about this fucking movie Bebes kids all winter. Watched it a day or two ago and that sucked as well.

Curious, what made the plot and characters weak? Apart from brand's lame speech

Murph and the chick in space were weak. Murph, I'm going to be a little bitch when you leave then run out crying but then I'm not going to hit you back, and even a lifetime later I'm still a bitch.

Chick from space, I'm going to pay no attention to the big wave, manage to get trapped and get people killed then bitch at everyone like I was brilliant. I would have just tossed her out of the ship.

The one guy that died with the wave, I'm going to not walk back to the ship for a while until she starts coming back, then I'm going to "ladies first" and wait and wait to try and get in and get killed.

The plot, they tried. It was a cool concept, but it just didn't deliver for me. Interesting, but things didn't add up.

That said I do like seeing movies take some chances and get out there a little bit.

The new Kingsman is probably the most recent one where I walked into hoping I would like it but walked out feeling like I wasted my time with. The trailers made it look good but some scenes just were hard to watch and enjoy. I liked most of the fighting scenes however which is what I think is one of the few redeeming factors of the movie. Otherwise it was just really boring and played out.

I thought the new mummu movie might have been the worst thing I ever watched. Paused it to sleep a few times on my flight. Had the feeling I should abandon it but felt invested. I should have abandoned it.

The first couple weren't going to win a ton of awards or anything but they were good for what they were. Watchable movies. The new one was so shit, I was actually impressed that tom cruise did it.

Had to bump this thread but There Will be Blood was pretty overrated tbh, I liked it but the critics sucked it off so much when it came out, and I know I might be in the minority here but any Bourne movie without Matt Damon can suck my dick

Entertaining but so many missed opportunities and ridiculousness throughout the whole thing. There were some absolutely excellent parts of the film but as a whole I don't see how people think the direction they're going is good for the franchise.

disney got too cutesy with the little chicken animal guys. i'm willing to bet money on a full ewok reboot in episode 9

Yeah, I saw it with my dad...and I'm going to see it with my girlfriend. Honestly I was pretty let down by the whole thing. It's pretty sad in which way they are setting up the series.

I also re-watched rogue one, and that shit is fire. I seriously have no idea who Rogue One can be so good, and TLJ is so bad.

From what everyone has said about The Last Jedi it makes me even less excited to see it than I already was, Disney is killing Star Wars. I think the prequels were wayyy better. The Force Awakens was awful in my opinion, it had a much different vibe than the six previous movies and half of the movie was just a reunion ceremony.

Shit made no sense IMO. I get that having everything instantly made people happy or whatever, but Luke had to train and all this shit to get powers all honed in. That girl was like yo I got this and Ima skip all those steps. Meh.

Didn't like the movie overall anyway. Will watch the last jedi at some point though. Probably on my next flight.

Watched The Last Jedi a couple days ago and I am disappointed.

The political correctness and corniness of it didn’t really bother me that much, but the plot was patchy and disorganized. Disney had two years to develop the movie and the best plot they could come up with was the resistance running low on fuel? Nice.

They also killed a lot of opportunities to develop characters as well as progress the story. All it took to kill Snoke was use the force to ignite a light saber and cut him in half? Terribly thought out. I also felt like many scenes lacked substance and were unnecessary. Like the part where Finn was going to commit suicide to take out the laser cannon to save everyone else but Rose saved him, that was probably my least favorite part of the entire movie, so stupid.

Besides the negatives, I thought they did a good job with the new aliens looking authentic to the Star Wars franchise. It was also cool how Luke used the force to appear on the frozen planet and confront Kylo Ren in front of the At-Ats.

It wasn’t a horrible movie but definitely could have been better, definitely doesn’t deserve the 92% it’s rated at on rotten tomatoes. I’ll still be watching the next movie.

I enjoyed The Last Jedi but I wasn’t awestruck by it. It was a neat movie with some cool scenes and neat characters (and some even more unnecessary characters like Rose for example). I like how they’re trying to take Star Wars in a different direction and I hope it pays off in the next episode. That’s just my opinion though.

Love Tarantino movies for the most part, but I could never get into Jackie Brown or the Kill Bill series. They were a little too weird for me, or maybe I'm just weird.

Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction are among my favorite movies of all time though.
