There Will Be Blood


I felt like it was the kind of movie that might have gotten great reviews. Checked online after and the reviews are nothing but excellent. Very highly but honestly it sucked. I'd give it two stars because of Daniel Day Lewis's solid and the cinematography but the movie was still bad.

What else you got? I'll probably remember a bunch of others but I just watched that a couple days ago.

i read all the books and they seem to be trying so hard. i honestly cant take it seriously. i have such a picture of what it looked like to me from reading them and it does not match whatsoever. didnt particularly like how they acted it either.

I don't read nearly enough because of snazzy learning difficulties but almost every time I read a book and then watched the movie I was at least slightly disappointed. Generally somethings change but sometimes the movie is almost a completely different story. Also there's something about the imagery the words create in your mind that beats the hell out of seeing some other dude's vision of that story.

That said I only watched maybe 10 min of the show once and really know nothing about it.

all the fucking hangover movies. first one sucked, the two latter ones that were the exact same movies as the first one somehow managed to suck harder. fuck the hangover and fuck zach galifianakis' overplayed same personality over and over again.

Olympus has Fallen. One of my favourite movies of all time. As someone who loves war and action movies, this was just absolutely fucking ridiculous and I loved it. Here is the plot: (spoilers)
-North Korea's angry
-US and SK presidents have a meeting
-SK president's head defense minister is actually a world known North Korean terrorist who somehow managed to take the US president hostage
-Gerard Butler has to save everybody by himself.

And he has a hot wife. Best bad movie ever.

Also, if you expect anything from Battle: LA other than marines fighting aliens, you're gonna have a bad time.

Also what the fuck was up with the end of Oblivion? ALL the aliens are actually just one big AI computer robot bitch? And his wife hooks up with his clone? And how did she give birth by herself? And how did the Morgan Freeman people know where to find her? Never mind the fact that a spaceship that big orbiting that close to earth would get torn apart by gravity.

I loved the music and how beautiful the whole movie was. The atmosphere was off the chain....but you could see where the story and plot twist was gonna go. It was still a half decent film I would say. Not great, but rentable.

Some of my friends said that The Heat was supposed to be funny. I tried to watch it for 10 minutes then had to turn it off. ^ Sandra Bullock was just making me utterly annoyed.

i couldn't really stand the new batman trilogy. The first one was good, but the next 2 kinda pissed me off. I don't like how they broke away from the original comic book style joker and bane, bane especially, made it all really fucked up and confusing for me. Especially since bane's backstory didn't really match with anything in comics or shit like that.

Another thing that really bugs me when I go to see a movie...The Hobbit (either of them) or The Hunger games.

I watch them, want to get into it because I love movies and to me they suck so bad.

I tell that statement to people, they reply with "well maybe you should read the books so you'd understand"

No, fuck no....if I have to read a book to then understand the movie then the movie fails and sucks.

maybe. i don't think i was super impressed by the first couple episodes but i think i realized it had potential and kept watching. i think the format and everything takes a couple episodes to find its groove, and IMO it sort of insists upon itself the first few episodes. once things start to develop and get complex is when i think it grabbed me

i dont think it's an amazing show but it's very entertaining, well done, and the acting is really good, so to recap, yeah i'd suggest giving it some more time

So your saying that the director of the only good x-men movies so far who has gone back to correct all the shitty errors of the worst x-men movie by using arguably the best story line in the x-men books is making a terrible movie.... ( nerd gasp...)

If your gonna go about with respect of being faithful to the comics, i would just say look at all the comic book movies out there. As a nerd who got the shit kicked out of him as a kid for liking comic books...im just happy these films are getting made at all. Let alone be the most successful films out there.

My first response.. Kill yourslef . but I'd understand that you probably don't have the mental capacity to grasp that movie in any area. One of tbr greatest movies of all time. Beyond amazing camerawork. And for 1967 special effects that still.hold up today. If any thing it ruined the sci fi genre. Nothing has come close to what that movie is or what ideas it has/does provoke

if they had followed the book storyline closer it would be better, but slight details they change always hurt the show.

For example: Gendry was never taken to Dragonstone and held by Stannis, it was Edric Storm another bastard of Robert Baretheon

During the Purple Wedding, the feast was held outside, while in the book it took place in the Great Hall

Theon Greyjoy had his member removed by Ramsey and it was sent to Theon's father (this is the worst of them), in the book Ramsey sent a small piece of skin to Lord Greyjoy instead of his kids dong.

They age all the characters in the show, the Stark children are all three years old then they are in the books

Also in the books, Jaime Lannister didn't arrive in King's Landing till after Joffrey died at the Purple Wedding, in the show, well yeah.

Meh, that isn't a huge deal, it still happened basically as is. The bigger issue is the lack of Penny and her pig and dog though IMO that's better as Penny is boring as fuck.

Bronn is a good example, he is a mix of book Bronn and the real fmr Gold Cloaks commander "Iron Hand" who died during the battle at the Blackwater.

Could you imagine the uproar if they kept Joffrey a 14 year old set to marry a 13 year old and have sex right after their first period? Yeah, that show would have fallen apart in pre-production.

For anyone who has read the trilogy of books you will understand that there has never been a book (supposed to be a series of books) more fucking ripped apart than this. The casting and special effects were perfect, but they literally took apart 60% of the storyline and just went for what Hollywood wanted.

I absolutely hated Drive. Plot makes no sense, Ryan Gosling taking a kid to play in the woods and some abusive husband and no talking and then some driving and fighting. It was shit and Ryan Gosling is a huge autist, he can't act for shit. He ruined Gangster Squad for me, which was good when he wasn't around.

It's very good and shows how the USA is basically the only country on the planet that can save it's own as hostages from pirates. It's a genuinely good film, Phillips is portrayed as a little weak actually, normal
