theBearJewIt was great. Not like any other hot sauce I've had before. Very very good. Dabbed a bit on my plate, dipped, then opened up my seafood quesadilla and poured it on.
Really like the bottle, someone said "looks like a liquor bottle, like a flask" It was a bit annoying to open, the black wrap didn't seem to have a easy way off. I did notice there was no guard on the top. Most hot sauces have something so it comes out in drops. Any reason why you left that off?
One thing was I was wondering is if you need to have an ingredients/nutritional facts on the back.
As for packaging, I don't have much experience on it, but I'll brainstorm and if I can think of anything I'll let you know. Great stuff man! Keep up the great work.
Glad you liked it man. The liquor bottle look was what we were going for. Trying to separate ourself from most hotsauce companies that are plastered with flames and devils and are too hot to even enjoy.
Great feedback on the black seal. We'll look into it for sure. We omitted the drip cap because it's not a suace like franks where you take a few drops. It's pretty damn addicting and we even know people who dump it in a bowl and use it as a dipping sauce for chips/veggies/mozzarella sticks...and from our side why limit what people use. The more they use the more we sell! This is a business and our end game it to make money.
If you think it would be better with a drip top let me know, they're very cheep and Ill test it out with some people to try and get a group opinion as to what's best.
For the record if you sell under 10k in sales/ bottles you don't need a nutritional label. We have one but the FDA is in the process of changing some regulations. We just got our new results back from the lab a few weeks ago and are waiting to print them up ( we printed our labels in a 5,000 batch so we will likely do the same with these) until the FDA 's new regs are all sorted out we don't want to comit to printing. It's designed as a clear label on the back in black writing.
Shipping wise, my idea has been to wrap in a burlap bag and tie it with some twine at the top. Than simply use bubble wrap to make sure it's safe in its temporary home. We're a premium product and we want to maintain that branding.
Most importantly glad you liked it man. Hit us up on social media. Take awesome pics with the bottles, tag us, hash tag us...you know the deal- in awesome places doing awesome things with hot girls, on you vacations, at parties, with hot girls....you get the idea. We can use all the help we could get.
Any issues or questions let me know man of course. Thanks again for the support and constructive criticism. Hope you'll be ordering some when your bottles done!
