Replying to Skiing motivation

hey NS, so my friend has not had skis for 5 weeks now. he has refused to rent skis every weekend and also refused to borrow a pair from one of his friends. he's being very very stubborn and I feel like he doesn't even wanna ski anymore. should I continue to ski with him or should find a new ski buddy? we're supposed to get about 8 inches of pow at my local mtn and he doesn't wanna rent skis for $27. so again, should I find a new ski buddy?
