Skiing motivation

hey NS, so my friend has not had skis for 5 weeks now. he has refused to rent skis every weekend and also refused to borrow a pair from one of his friends. he's being very very stubborn and I feel like he doesn't even wanna ski anymore. should I continue to ski with him or should find a new ski buddy? we're supposed to get about 8 inches of pow at my local mtn and he doesn't wanna rent skis for $27. so again, should I find a new ski buddy?

Sorry to say but imo I cant stand skiing with people who aren't as stoked to be shredding as I am. If they aren't partying the whole way down and having a blast then I don't really wanna ski. But it's your friend so make up your own mind

Kid seems like he doesn't wanna ski anymore. Might as well find a new buddy since the seasons almost over anyways. Got a friend of mine who quit skiing about a month ago and it sucked but hey you gotta move on at some point. Just find someone new to shred with.

It always shitty when people don't invest anything into skiing and then quit when they feel they aren't getting anything out of it. I mean what do they expect? Ya gotta give a little to receive...

I think you should tell your friend straight to his face. Maybe he also has a reason and you also need to be sensitive too, maybe he don't like you to be a ski buddy too anymore. There are lots of skiing motivation anyway, you can research it online.

find someone else to shred with or go solo. unless your invested, which most NSers are (i.e. owns their own skis/boots), it would be pretty difficult to ski all the time and still have fun. I know if I were on rental boots/skis every time I skied I wouldn't be having as much fun simply because id be uncomfortable.
