What do you wear on your head? What goggle helmet combo works for you and do you wear a beanie, balaclava underneath? I just wanted to see what other people wear. I'm also looking for new goggles cuz I have Electric EG2s and they are way to big for my helmet and because of that my helmet falls of whenever I fall or jump too hard, and that shouldn't happen.
I use the oakley crowbar JP auclair and they are fairly small but the FOV is great. They are the best goggles Ive ever used, never fog up and have great optical quality. Get rid of the glare but don't make it too dark.
The best will be what fits your head and face. As no one else here has your head an face only you can work out what will work best. Go to some shops and try things on. Helmets and goggles are like boots in that they really do need to be tried I so you should always avoid buying online.
Fair point. Your best bet is to go to a shop and try on some models, find one you like and then look around online to see if you can get a good deal for them (Off a legit website/Ns tho, dont wanna go too fishy with stuff like that) if not just get them from the original shop.
If your helmet is falling off it's too big and/or the chin strap is too loose. Ski helmets are plenty warm alone, and they are not designed to be worn over hats. Wearing a hat under a helmet will make the helmet less safe.
I wear a Giro 9-10 helmet. I had a Giro G10 until I broke it a few weeks ago. Had a Giro Fuse years ago. I loved all three, basically the same helmet, just different years versions. I've tried on a lot of brands and Giros are the most comfortable IMO. I have Smith I/O goggles and Giro Manifest goggles, both work well with all my helmets. I also had a Giro Remedy full face helmet which I broke, just ordered another, don't have it yet.
That's actually not completely true. If you take the liner out and replace it with a beanie it's essentially the same as long as you have the right fit. Even reps I've dealt with tell people they can do that.
