pretty much. i got a ps4 because all my friends are on the playstation network, and you cant argue with the price. love it so far. and i need a console because when i game on a pc i tend to turn into a hermit and binge. at least on a console it encourages you to be more social and you're playing from a living room somewhere rather than all hidden away in your bedroom at a desk by yourself all the time.

ive had a blast playing madden25 too. shit is so fun and me, my friends, and my brother are all so competitive with it.

You just named the foremost reason to do own multiple consoles, gaming is about the games, not about petty fanboy wars over which black box is better. A console these days has a seven year lifespan, even at introduction prices that comes out to almost nothing per day.

Could have searched PS4 or Xbox1 and found a few of these threads that already had replies. Or google some tech forums.


I'll probably buy the ps4. Xbox has derped way too hard and become lame. Going to def snag an xbox controller though. Also going to wait a while till the price drops and new gens of those consoles come out. I never buy the first one.

Ps4 cause its cheaper, isnt made by microsoft, and doesnt have that useless hunk of plastic known as the Kinect.

Some of us don't play it daily though. Spending an extra $400 just for the access to a couple different games isn't really a practical thing to do for most people. If I'm going to spending that money on solely gaming, I'd rather buy a bunch of new games with it instead of paying for close to the exact same thing that I already own.

I just got a PS4 and BF4 and it was amazing. Controllers are a lot more solid than before and the UI is pretty smooth
