this may be a little extreme and some can find it offensive but...
I believe that the people who honestly think that they were born in the wrong body with the wrong sex organs are mentally ill and should be treated for that rather then just being able to receive a sex change.
Hear me out,
I understand some people are born with actual physical issues with their gentiles or need surgery/hormones to function normally. Thats 100% understandable.
However, in the situation where an otherwise perfectly healthy human is "Trapped in the wrong body" constitutes a mental disorder imo. The mentality that people are somehow able to be born in the wrong body points at mental health, not physical issues/birth issues. I am 5'10" but honestly its very difficult and debilitating, Im sure I was born wrong, so my insurance should be required to cover the extremely lengthy and expensive process to stretch my shins.
In any situation outside sexuality, an extreme procedure that is 100% by choice would not be this widely accepted.

Some pro-LGBT people say "Well she can get beast implants! and Botox! They can sculpt her jawline! No one judges them for plastic surgery!"
1- Modifying existing features (cosmetically via surgery) is worlds away from comparable to a sex change. Although plastic surgery at times can be very extravagant or ridiculous, the insertion of silicon is not the addition/removal of vital organs. (That being said, their are those who are addicted to plastic surgery and need some sort of mental help or therapy.)
2- Plastic surgery is supposed to modify existing components (or in weird cases body modification) while a sex change physically shifts you from being in Group A -> Group B (Male -> Female, Female -> Male) some would compare that to dying your skin in attempt at becoming another race.
3- Using plastic surgery can be extremely deceiving. While a lot of people dont mind the subtle boob job, in some cases it can be an outright deception. In asia these extensive operations are done more often and man literally sued his wife for making him think she was beautiful and ended up having a ugly as fuck child. He won. Now a sex change is straight up deception to those unaware of your condition

Any thoughts? Maybe I'm completely being uncalled for but I'd like to hear some actual opinions on this, rather then just hate. Convince me otherwise?
