Good news! After yesterday's positive reaction to the announcement of their new event, Red Bull has decided to extend their invited athlete list by five. The best part is that they're giving Newschoolers the opportunity to help them find the additional riders to compete at Forêt Urbaine, which is happening on Saturday, April 12th at Mont Tremblant Quebec.
On March 31st, the crew at Red Bull will announce the first invited athlete, and continue to do so every two days until they have their five riders. So what are you waiting for? They'll be looking at this thread for ideas on who to invite, so get creative and do what you gotta do to impress them!

Freeskiers will descend through a custom designed course constructed entirely of natural log features built into the village streets. Obstacles are locally sourced, constructed entirely from logs giving it a natural vibe to reflect what you might find in the woods.
At 400m long, skiers have a choice of two lines, starting from the athlete hotel room balcony, and ending with a 15’-canon pipe. Male and female skiers will battle to impress the judges who will be looking for style, difficulty, amplitude and trick selection in their runs.
Tremblant was built with a wood axe. Outside of a world class ski hill, the Mont-Tremblant region was the heart of a longstanding logging community which laid the foundation for the surrounding town today. Red Bull Foret Urbaine pays homage to the tradition and logging culture that brought Mont-Tremblant to life. Don't miss it!

Inspiré par l'histoire et la culture de l'exploitation forestière et des bûcherons , l'événement Red Bull Forêt Urbaine transformera le Village de Mont-Tremblant le 12 Avril prochain. Ce sera le premier évènement de clôture de Freeski jamais tenu dans l’histoire du village.
Les Freeriders invités descendront sur un parcours personnalisé, conçu et construit entièrement en matériaux de bois intégrés dans les rues du village. Les matériaux utilisés pour les obstacles donnent une ambiance naturelle, entièrement construits avec des bûches et des matières que l’on peut trouver dans les bois .
Le parcours de 400 mètres de long offrent aux skieurs le choix entre deux lignes différentes et ce à partir du balcon d’une chambre d’hôtel jusqu’au bas du parcours avec un billet de bois de 4.5 mètres en canon. Les skieurs masculins et féminins s’affronteront afin d’impressionner les juges qui les évalueront sur le style, le niveau de difficulté, et de l’amplitude et la combinaison de manœuvres pendant leur descente.
Tremblant est non seulement une station de ski de renommée mondiale, elle est également au cœur d’une communauté forestière de longue date qui a établi les bases du village que nous connaissons aujourd’hui, ayant été construit à la hache de bois. Le Red Bull Forêt Urbaine a pour but de rendre hommage à cette tradition. Un évènement à ne pas manquer!
