So I have a huge problem when ever I ski. I was wondering if any other fellow Newschoolers have this same problem? When ever I hit jumps or do rails I close my eyes. This problem is extremely difficult because I can't spot my landing. But i can still throw down since I just landed front 6's with my eyes closed but every time I do flips I crash because I can't spot my landing. If any of you used to do this how did u fix this?
Alcohol and drugs might not be out of the question except I have to stand by my quote "real men do cocaine"
When I tried flat 7 (sadly to a bag) I was so focused on landing on my feet that my vision and hearing blacked out and all that was left was my sense of feel. Got it around just fine and vision came back when I was at about 630. Moral: don't sweat it too much.
i think your eyes being closed is a red herring.. most pros have their eyes closed whenever they do the hard stuff (or at least take their contacts out which i hear is close enough)
have you tried using sodium thiopental? i guess it decreases higher brain functions, like considering consequences of your actions. big air dave told he's been loggin bangers on it
